Three Maryland field hockey players were named National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Americans, the organization announced Tuesday.
Sophomore defender Josie Hollamon was the only Terp on the first team. She headed Maryland’s defense and was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year this season, while contributing five goals and five assists.
Senior forward Hope Rose and graduate midfielder Emma DeBerdine earned second- and third-team nods, respectively. Rose led the Terps in scoring for the second consecutive season, posting 11 goals and two assists. DeBerdine failed to score a goal this year, but added five assists, which ranked second on the team.
