Maryland field hockey forward Hope Rose was named a first-team All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association last Tuesday.
Rose, a junior, has earned All-American honors every season since she arrived in College Park in 2021. She burst onto the scene as a freshman, earning first-team honors, before following that up with a strong sophomore campaign that landed her on the second team.
Rose was the primary focus of the Terps’ attack in 2023, scoring 13 goals — a team high — and adding two assists to finish second on the team in points. Her tenacity also earned her All-Big Ten first-team accolades and a selection to the NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Region first team.
