No. 23 Maryland gymnastics placed third at the Lone Star Challenge in San Antonio this past Saturday.
The Terps faced a number of talented programs, which included then-No. 17 Auburn, then-No. 20 Arizona State, then-No. 21 Penn State and Temple. Alexa Rothenbuescher scored a 9.900 on floor to help Maryland to a team score of 49.100, good for second.
The Terps also placed third in the beam and uneven bars, with a team score of 48.850. In the vault, Maryland had a team score of 48.550, with a standout 9.800 score from sophomore Natalie Martin.
