Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. He put on an impressive display against Rutgers, throwing for 361 yards and contributing four total touchdowns in the Terps’ 42-24 win.
It’s the second time Tagovailoa has earned the honor this season and fourth time in his career.
Tagovailoa also became the Big Ten’s all-time career passing yards leader during the game. He surpassed the previous mark set by Purdue’s Curtis Painter (11,163), ending the day with 11,256 career passing yards.
With Maryland’s regular season complete, it now awaits its bowl destination, which will be announced on Dec.
