Maryland women’s soccer forward Kat Parris was called up to the Panamanian national team before its CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup qualification match against Jamaica on Wednesday.
The move marked Parris’ first call-up to the Panamanian squad.
Parris appeared in 11 games for the Terps during the 2023 season, including two starts.
She is the second Terp under head coach Meghan Ryan Nemzer to earn a national team call-up, following freshman Madison Krakower (Puerto Rico). Two players on the current roster have been called up to junior national teams: Mia Mitchell (Jamaica) and Kennedy Bell (United States).
