Maryland women’s basketball guard Ashley Owusu was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List, both the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the WBCA announced Tuesday.
The list honors the nation’s top 20 shooting guards entering each season, marking a huge honor for the sophomore.
Owusu is coming off a Big Ten Freshman of the Year campaign in which she averaged 12.0 points and 5.4 assists per game. She also made the All-Big Ten Second Team and was named the Big Ten Tournament MVP for her efforts to help lead the Terps to the title.
