Maryland men’s basketball will host the La Salle Explorers on Dec. 22, the team’s newest opponent announced in its non-conference schedule Monday.
This is the Terps’ sixth non-conference game on the schedule thus far, as games against Old Dominion, Navy, Mount St. Mary’s, George Mason and Clemson — the only away game — have been confirmed.
The game will be just the fourth meeting between the two teams and the first since Dec. 27, 1994, a 96-80 Terps win at Cole Field House. Maryland owns a 3-0 record against La Salle that dates back to the 1983 Maryland Invitational Tournament in College Park, when the Terps knocked off the Explorers, 96-83, to win the tourney.
