Maryland baseball hosted Georgetown for its fall home game Saturday, when the Terps and Hoyas faced off in a doubleheader at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium.
In game one, Alex Calarco clinched an 11-8 victory for Maryland with a walk-off three-run home run. Aden Hill had tied the game earlier with a crucial ground-rule double, setting the stage for Calarco’s heroics.
Game two saw Jake Yeager start on the mound, pitching two innings and allowing two runs. Andrew Koshy followed with scoreless third and fourth innings but surrendered a solo homer to Connor Price in the fifth. Maryland trailed by one in the sixth when Brayden Ryan took over, allowing one run across 1 2/3 innings.
