The Maryland men’s basketball team, including Anthony Cowan Jr. and Jalen Smith, returned to the floor of Xfinity Center to receive its Big Ten regular season championship rings Friday evening.
The Terps (24-7) captured a share of the title for the first time in program history, alongside Michigan State and Wisconsin, last season. The team finished with a 14-6 record in league play, including a 16-1 record at home to finish at No. 12 in the AP Top 25 poll.
This was the first time Maryland won a share of its conference championship since 2009-10, and as such, the program went all out with the rings.
