Crowded tailgates filled the University of Maryland campus in advance of the Terps’ highly anticipated Friday night duel with Penn State Sept. 27 last season, for which the team had its first sellout in recent years.
Night games have been a rarity for Maryland football in recent years, but the conference announced Monday that the team will be playing its first two contests of 2020 — at Northwestern and against Minnesota — at 7:30 p.m.
The Terps’ opening contest against the Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 24 will air on Big Ten Network, followed by a primetime Friday night matchup versus the Golden Gophers, set to air on ESPN, the following week.
