Maryland women’s tennis competed in the Navy Invitational this weekend and finished in first, second and third place in singles.
Terps Selma Cadar and Marta Perez Mur faced off in the singles final. Perez Mur defeated another Maryland tennis player in Minorka Miranda 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 to advance to the final while Cadar defeated Navy’s Emily Tannenbaum 6-3, 6-2 in the semi-finals.
Miranda then secured third place with a win over Tannenbaum 6-3, 7-5 as the Terps secured the top three spots in the singles bracket.
In the final matchup, Cadar emerged victorious with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Perez Mur clinching first place.
