After a full day of classes and two practices, one might think that Maryland basketball players would be exhausted by the time this year’s Midnight Mile rolled around.
Instead, the team entered the track at Ludwig Field running and dancing, excited to mingle with the student body.
“We practice throughout the day, so we don’t really get to interact with the students how we can here, so it’s good to get that bond with them,” junior guard Darryl Morsell said. “Like coach Turgeon said, they have a big impact on our games, especially home games, so just to have their support and know them off the court and just bond with our teammates off the court as well, it’s a great thing.
