After three years as the face of Maryland basketball, Melo Trimble is off to a solid start in the G-League.
In his debut with the Iowa Wolves, Trimble led his squad past the Lakeland Magic, 96-92. He finished with 26 points, going 9-of-22 from the field and 2-of-7 from deep, and seven assists while hitting all but one of his seven free throws.
After spending summer league with the Sixers and training camp with the Timberwolves, Trimble is finally getting some real burn with Minnesota’s minor league affiliate.
Trimble got his first pro bucket on a play that should look familiar to anyone who watched him at Maryland.
