For the sixth time in a row, Maryland women’s lacrosse goalie Megan Taylor has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
This time around, she was awarded for her standout performances against then-No. 8 Virginia and then-No. 7 Michigan, games in which Maryland won by 10 and 11 goals, respectively. Taylor allowed just nine goals combined for the week, saving 19 shots for a .678 save percentage.
On the year, Taylor has a 6.86 goals against average, tops in the nation. And while the defense has been incredible this season, the senior goalie has been on another level.
