Maryland punter Wade Lees has been named to the preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award for a second straight year, the team announced Wednesday.
Lees, who will be 30 entering the season after a career in Australian Rules football, has started all 25 games for the Terps since coming to the United States two years ago.
Lees averaged 39.2 yards per punt last season. He had 17 punts inside the 20-yard line and had seven punts of 50 yards or more in 2017.
The Ray Guy Award committee will cut the preseason watch list of 28 punters to 10 semifinalists on Nov.
