A couple Maryland football alums found their way into NFL end zones on Sunday. The only member of Maryland’s 2016-17 campaign to secure a NFL contract secured the first touchdown of his professional career, while hometown kid Stefon Diggs was back in the area to add another score to his season total.
Late in the New Orleans Saints’ 47-10 shellacking of Buffalo, former Terps running back Trey Edmunds found a lane along the sideline and torched the defense for the score. It was the last of the Saints’ franchise-record six touchdowns on the day.
