In his 2016 debut, Stefon Diggs continued the brilliance he displayed as a rookie. This time, he was catching passes from another Maryland alumnus: quarterback Shaun Hill.
The two connected for this 33-yard reception in the fourth quarter:
Diggs finished with 103 yards receiving on seven catches, while Hill was 18-of-33 for 236 yards passing. Sam Bradford, whom the team traded for a week prior, was active but did not start. After the game, coach Mike Zimmer didn’t guarantee Hill would be the team’s starter in Week 2 against the Packers.
We’ll have more updates on pro Terps later this week.
