After leading Maryland women’s basketball to two Final Fours and a Sweet 16 appearance, Shatori Walker-Kimbrough now has a professional accolade to add to her college legacy.
The WNBA announced its All-Rookie Team on Tuesday, and the former Terp and current Washington Mystic found her name on the list. Walker-Kimbrough now becomes the second of Brenda Frese’s 13 draft picks to make the rookie team, following Alyssa Thomas in 2014.
Walker-Kimbrough helps complete a list of first-year standouts also including Rookie of the Year Alisha Gray of the Dallas Wings, former Naismith Award winner Kelsey Plum from the San Antonio Stars, the Atlanta Dream’s Brittney Sykes and the Wings’ Kaela Davis.
