Maryland’s season ends with a thud in lopsided loss against Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Maryland football team’s task of upsetting fourth-ranked Penn State in Saturday’s season finale would have been daunting enough even with a completely healthy roster. Doing so without ailing starting quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., among others, proved unattainable on the Nittany Lions’ senior day at Beaver Stadium.
