Sean Davis grew up watching the late Sean Taylor play safety for the Washington Redskins, and he modeled his game after the hard-hitting safety, from his youth days to his time at Maret School in Washington through his four years at Maryland.
Davis wore No. 21 in Taylor’s honor, and on Wednesday at Maryland’s pro day, the defensive back took another step in trying to follow in his idol’s footsteps.
“That's the guy I idolized watching growing up,” Davis said. “Just loving the way he really hit people. He instilled fear in receivers and made them think twice about crossing the middle of the field.
