Maryland Coach Randy Edsall gave a detailed report on his defensive line depth during Monday’s media day in College Park, but before he did, he reminded everyone about Quinton Jefferson. The redshirt junior defensive lineman has quietly returned to the forefront after a difficult 10-month stretch, which was largely devoted to repairing a torn anterior cruciate ligament that cost him most of the 2014 season.
There have been small and important victories for Jefferson, including a medical redshirt that was granted last spring. Another one came Monday, when he was able to confidently tell reporters for the first time in nearly a year that he would be ready to play a major role for the Terrapins this fall.
