Maryland defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson is declaring for the NFL draft, the redshirt junior announced via Twitter on Thursday night.
The move comes after Jefferson had a breakout season in 2015, where was named an honorable mention all-Big Ten selection after posting 6.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Jefferson totaled 39 tackles and established himself as one of the mos consistent players on Maryland’s defense.
