The Washington Redskins took down the Carolina Panthers 23-17 on Sunday, bringing both teams to 3-2 for the season. This contest featured four of Maryland football’s 10 former players on NFL rosters, and three of those Terps made significant impacts on the game.
Wide receiver DJ Moore, the Panthers’ first-round pick this April, had a roller coaster of a Sunday that started with disaster. The rookie fumbled twice, first on a punt return deep in Carolina territory and again later in the first half after a 17-yard catch-and-run. But he bounced back and had the most productive offensive performance of his young career, tallying four catches for 59 yards.
