Maryland's Melo Trimble, two Terps women make Wooden Award Midseason Top 25

Maryland men's basketball junior guard Melo Trimble was named to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25, the Los Angeles Athletic Club announced Wednesday.

Trimble is the only player among this year’s group to make the player-of-the-year list three straight seasons. He leads the Terps in scoring (17.5 points per game) and free-throw percentage (.825) and has scored 20 or more points in eight games this season.

Maryland women's basketball senior center Brionna Jones (Aberdeen) and senior guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough also made the Midseason Top 25.

Jones is averaging 19.2 points and 10.
