Maryland interim coach Mike Locksley updated the status of a few injured players Sunday afternoon, the day after the Terps’ 24-7 loss to No. 13 Michigan State.
Locksley said left tackle Michael Dunn (high ankle sprain), running back Ty Johnson (hyperextended left knee) and wide receiver DeAndre Lane (mid-foot sprain) were all out for Sunday evening’s practice. Dunn’s ankle had “minimal swelling,” Locksley said, so the team is expecting to know more Monday, while Johnson and Lane are scheduled to have MRIs Monday.
Offensive tackle Derwin Gray and defensive end Cavon Walker, who missed the loss with an ankle/Achilles tendon injury and high ankle sprain, respectively, are expected to return to practice.
