Maryland’s Jaylen Brantley faces learning curve at Terps basketball summer workouts

Jaylen Brantley looked in control inside Xfinity Center early Tuesday morning, running a number of Maryland’s offensive sets and directing traffic during an early summer basketball practice. It was a far cry from two months earlier, Brantley would later admit, when he showed up in College Park as a highly regarded junior college transfer and was introduced to an entirely new system. He is expected to be the additional ball-handler that Maryland has craved over the past year, an extra point guard that can provide depth behind star Melo Trimble.

Brantley has relied on Trimble to assist with his transition for much of the summer, both on and off the floor.
