Two more Maryland coaches are headed to the Washington, D.C., Sports Hall of Fame. Men’s soccer coach Sasho Cirovski and women’s lacrosse coach Cathy Reese are part of this year’s class, which will be inducted in a pregame ceremony at Nationals Park on June 23 prior to the 1:35 p.m. game between the Nationals and the Atlanta Braves.
Former Maryland football and baseball player Tom Brown will join Cirovski and Reese in this year’s class.
Both coaches have led their respective teams to tremendous success and elite status in their respective sports. Cirovski has a 387-143-53 record in 26 years at Maryland and is one of just nine coaches in NCAA Division I history with three national championships and 400 career wins.
