Brad Craddock reverted to his roots as an Australian rules football player last week, delivering a perfect pooch-punt at a time when Maryland desperately needed it. After the Terrapins squandered another opportunity with a three-and-out at the Bowling Green 40-yard line, Craddock was ordered onto the field instead of starting punter Nicolas Pritchard. He effectively rolled a kick 39 yards to pin the Falcons on their own 1-yard line, and in that moment it seemed as if the senior kicker had returned to invincibility.
“I didn’t have one warmup on the weekend either, so it felt good,” Craddock said of the kick.
