Maryland defensive back Anthony Nixon and offensive lineman Andrew Zeller will play in the inaugural Tropic Bowl all-star game this weekend, the school announced Friday.
Billed as an “elite and exclusive FBS college all-star game” that will be played Sunday at North Miami Stadium, the Tropic Bowl will give Nixon and Zeller a chance to perform in front of pro scouts in what is the latest showcase event for college players. Maryland defensive back Sean Davis and defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson, who declared for the NFL draft last month, will both play in the Senior Bowl on January 30.
