In the Maryland women’s soccer team’s first road game of the season, the Terps took advantage of William & Mary’s mistakes and used a hat trick from Jarena Harmon to defeat the Tribe 3-2 in Williamsburg.
After scoring two goals in the first half, Harmon put the ball past William & Mary goalie Grace Smith in the 63rd minute to take the lead. It was Harmon’s second hat trick of her career, the first coming last year when she was a freshman at Pittsburgh.
Although the Terps got the win, they were outplayed by William & Mary.
