Maryland women’s soccer was looking to build off the momentum from a 4-0 win on Friday, but could not fend off the Nebraska attack Sunday, losing 2-1 in overtime.
The Terps (3-4-3, 1-1-0 Big Ten) struck first in the first half, continuing the momentum from the second half against Iowa. But the Huskers fought back, tying the game in the second half and winning it in sudden-death overtime.
Looking to build off their four goal performance just two days earlier, the Terps’ offense was out to strong start, getting on the scoreboard in the 26th minute with a goal from Darby Moore.
