Maryland women’s soccer couldn’t the right offensive touch on Thursday, losing to Temple 1-0.
The Terps held a 17-6 advantage in shots and 8-4 in shots on goal, but couldn’t break through. The Owls scored in the first half and held on for the win.
Erin Seppi made an immediate impact as the starter at goalie, making a big-time save in the 13th minute. The defense held strong for most of the first half as well, shutting down Temple’s possessions and earning the offense the edge in terms of possession.
Those extra possessions started to pile up too, with Maryland able to stack scoring opportunities in the 32nd and 33rd minutes.
