On the same day Maryland men’s soccer announced forward Paul Bin will miss the season with a torn ACL, a women’s lacrosse team spokesman confirmed that rising senior defender Lizzie Colson suffered the same injury earlier this summer.
The injury occurred June 13 as Colson was participating in the final practice of the United States National Women’s Lacrosse Team’s three-day training period. Colson was one of six players with University of Maryland roots taking part in this camp, and the only current Terp to do so.
In 2019, Colson helped anchor a Maryland back line that paired with Tewaaraton-winning goalkeeper Megan Taylor to lead the Terps to a national championship.
