In the first game at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex this season, No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse defeated Boston College 21-13.
The same Terps on offense were hot all game, led by Caroline Wannen and Zoe Stukenberg, who scored five goals each and combined for seven assists. Stukenberg’s nine points were a career high, and all of Wannen’s eight points came in the second half.
Elsewhere, Caroline Steele scored four goals of her own, Kali Hartshorn and Megan Whittle each had a hat trick. Nadine Hadnagy also scored a goal.
The first half saw a very even level of play, as both teams each traded a four-goal run.
