Maryland women's lacrosse faced what might have been its toughest test of the season in its season finale in State College on Thursday night. The Terps, like they've done all season long, passed the test. Top-ranked Maryland won the outright Big Ten title after beating No. 13 Penn State, 10-9.
The Terps and Nittany Lions battled back and forth in the first half. Taylor Cummings scored the game's first goal, and Caroline Steele added a pair of goals to give Maryland a 3-0 lead. Penn State answered with two of its own to make it 3-2, but the Terrapins responded.
