Ten up, ten down.
In its last home game before the break, the No. 5 Maryland women’s basketball team improved to 10-0 with a steady but resounding victory against the Southern Jaguars.
Maryland consistently outplayed Southern in the first half, but never reached its most dominant gear. The team took a 50-29 lead into the locker room after shooting 19-33 (57.6%) from the field, with assists on 16 of those 19 made shots. However, the Terps seemed to struggle at times with the Jaguars’ zone defense, turning the ball over 8 times in the first 20 minutes.
