The Maryland women’s basketball team has agreed to a three-year series with Connecticut, the Terps announced Wednesday afternoon.
The first of the three meetings will be Dec. 28 at Madison Square Garden as part of the 10th annual Maggie Dixon Classic. The Huskies, who defeated the Terps in the Final Four in April en route to winning the national championship, will visit the Xfinity Center in the 2016-17 season. The Terps will then travel to Connecticut for the final year of the agreement.
"There's a lot to like about this series for us,” Terps coach Brenda Frese said in a press release.
