Maryland women sign junior-college All-American guard Sara Vujačić

The Maryland women’s basketball team has signed junior-college All-American guard Sara Vujau010diu0107, coach Brenda Frese announced Wednesday.

Vujau010diu0107, the sister of former NBA guard Sasha Vujau010diu0107, a 2004 first-round draft pick who played 11 seasons in the league, moved from her native Maribor, Slovenia, to the United States to pursue opportunities in education and basketball.

After a stellar year at Motlow State (Tenn.), Vujau010diu0107 transferred to Walters State (Tenn.), where she averaged 16.7 points per game on 46 percent shooting, including over 45 percent from 3-point range.
