Despite a fast start, Maryland volleyball fell short against No. 3 Minnesota on Friday night, losing in four sets with scores of 25-17, 19-25, 23-25 and 25-20.
Maryland had a good offensive attack, hitting .245 with 55 kills and 19 attack errors, matching up well with Minnesota. Four Maryland players finished with at least 10 kills: Erika Pritchard led with 16, Liz Twilley added 11, and Emma Schriner and Katie Myers had 10 each. Nicole Alford had 43 assists and Allegra Rivas led with 25 digs, Pritchard following with 18.
Minnesota is now 17-0 in conference play.
