Maryland tennis goes 0-2 in season’s final homestand

The Maryland women’s tennis team looked to send their two seniors out on a high note during this weekend’s final two home games of the season, but instead, the Terps got destroyed by Michigan State and Michigan to extend their losing streak to nine matches.

With losses Friday and Sunday afternoons, the Terps fell to 3-16 overall and 1-8 in the Big Ten with two road matches remaining in the regular season.

Friday: Michigan State 4, Maryland 0

Doubles play was the most exciting part of Friday’s match, as the three matches were all lengthy battles, but the Spartans took the point as they won two of the three games.
