Maryland (11-6, 3-3) defeated the Fighting Illini for the third straight time in the series thanks in part to shooting 50 percent in the second half, limiting Illinois to 22.5 percent shooting in that time and committing just seven turnovers in the game.
Marcus Domask led the Illini (12-4, 3-2) with 26 points, and Luke Good chipped in 13.
