Patrick Mullins is coming back to the area where he had a tremendous amount of success during his college days.
On Wednesday evening, the New York City Football Club traded Mullins to D.C. United for general and targeted allocation money, as well as an international roster slot.
During the 2016 season, Mullins had registered zero goals and an assist in just seven appearances. This comes only a year removed from starting 11 matches for the MLS franchise.
Mullins is on his third team in three MLS seasons.
He was originally selected 11th overall by the New England Revolution in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
