Maryland running back Jake Funk drafted by Los Angeles Rams in the 2021 NFL Draft

Maryland football running back Jake Funk was taken off the board by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round, going No. 233 overall.

In his career at Maryland, Funk had 968 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns along with 134 receiving yards.

However, it was not an easy road for the Maryland native. In the final game of the 2018 season against Ohio State Funk tore his left ACL and after rehabbing it in the offseason, during the third game of the 2019 season against Temple, Funk tore that same ACL again.

Funk thrived in a lead back role during his senior campaign, recording 516 of his 968 career rushing yards.
