Maryland reportedly hires Syracuse’s Chris Beatty to coach wide receivers

Maryland will hire Syracuse assistant Chris Beatty as its new wide receivers coach, according to a report by Sports Illustrated.

The move comes just three weeks after Beatty left his job as running backs coach at Virginia to join Dino Babers’s new staff at Syracuse.

Beatty, who has deep recruiting ties to the Washington area and previously served as head coach at Landstown High School in Virginia Beach from 2003 to 2005, served under now-Maryland associate head coach Mike London at Virginia this past season. London resigned at Virginia in late November after five seasons at the helm and was hired by Maryland as an assistant in early December.
