Maryland reportedly hires Arkansas State’s Anthony Tucker as running backs coach

Maryland will hire Arkansas State assistant Anthony Tucker to coach running backs, according to a report from Football Scoop.

Tucker’s hire comes just two days after former Virginia assistant Chris Beatty joined DJ Durkin’s staff as wide receivers coach. While the school hasn’t formally announced Tucker’s hiring, he updated his Twitter biography and included his new Maryland job title on Tuesday. Tucker will replace Terry Richardson, who was hired by Randy Edsall last year and coached Maryland’s running backs for just one season.

Tucker coached for two seasons as a running backs coach at Arkansas State under Walt Bell, who left his post as the Red Wolves’ offensive coordinator to assume the same position on Durkin’s staff in late December.
