July 4 was supposed to be the day that Maryland fans across the country could take a collective sigh of relief (or not), as Avalon School (MD) athlete Trevon Diggs was set to announce his college commitment. Terps fans have been clamoring for his arrival for years, but the Terrapin faithful will have to exhibit patience for now. A new announcement date has yet to be determined. This could be in Maryland's favor, as the Terps may hold the lead for the younger Diggs's services and he wants to check every possible school to make sure his heart is telling him to stay home.
