Maryland RB Wes Brown suspended indefinitely

Maryland running back Wes Brown has been suspended indefinitely for violating the student-athlete code of conduct, the school announced Monday evening.

The suspension comes just two days after Brown made his first start of the season in a 24-7 loss to Michigan State. The former Good Counsel star rushed for 52 yards on 12 carries in Maryland’s seventh straight setback. He’s appeared in all 10 games this season, rushing for 317 yards and three touchdowns on 71 carries.

This is not the first time Brown has been suspended. He was suspended for the entire 2013 season for violating the student code of conduct, which stemmed from an arrest that July.
