Maryland football coach DJ Durkin hasn’t given any official updates on the status of suspended freshmen Lorenzo Harrison and D.J. Turner, but the former tweeted some encouraging words after the Terps’ Quick Lane Bowl loss to Boston College.
Maryland opens next season on the road against Texas, so if Harrison is correct, he’ll be able to play in that game.
Of course this isn’t a confirmation that either will definitely be back. That won’t be certain until the school releases a statement. But that seems like a formality now.
Both Harrison and Turner were suspended indefinitely after shot at pedestrians with airsoft guns while driving around campus.
