Maryland true freshman quarterback Kasim Hill left in the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Central Florida with an apparent right leg injury.
Hill, who assumed the starting role after sophomore Tyrrell Pigrome suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in a season-opening win over Texas, was injured after trying to scramble on a third down call on Maryland’s second rive of the game. Hill stayed down on the turf for several minutes before being helped off the field by trainers. Maryland officials have not provided any update on Hill’s status.
Hill did not put any weight on his right leg as he hobbled off the field and was eventually carted back to the locker room.
