Maryland quarterback Caleb Henderson will be held out of Saturday’s spring game with an ankle injury, Terrapins Coach DJ Durkin said on Thursday.
Henderson, the redshirt junior quarterback who transferred to Maryland from North Carolina last summer, injured his ankle in a noncontact drill earlier this week. While Durkin is not concerned with the severity of the injury and expects Henderson back when summer workouts commence in June, it nonetheless serves as a sour conclusion to what had otherwise been a promising spring practice for the former Lake Braddock star.
“Not concerned at all, he’ll be just fine,” Durkin said.
